What an amazing time of year.

Yesterday when I came to work the ice had gone out of site. Stu and I went out onto the lake early afternoon and found a few small masses of ice crystals, but other then that the lake was clear.

BRERETON LAKE REPORT: light skiff of ice right in front of the docks.  Looks like there is a bit still out in the middle.

My bet is "gone by Easter".

If it does go by this weekend it will be one the earliest break-ups in the 38 years we have been here.

We have some openings this weekend.

Our guests say it best....
