Sure sign of spring - Saturday, I saw my first duck of the season at Reed Falls. I spooked him as I got out of the car and he took off up river. DSC06075 first duck

Nice to see him skimming over open water.

Stu and I took a ride around the lake on the snowmobiles.  No slush but you can see the first signs of spring as the ice starts to melt around the rocks on the south side of Craig Island.

On a drive up through the park the open water at Reed Falls reinforced the feeling of "Spring is on the way!"

Flowing water at Reed Falls

Interesting are these round disks of ice that are formed with the fast moving water at the dam.

.  Beautiful mornings covered in hoarfrost and warm sunny afternoons sitting on the deck.

Horfrost morning

Stu and our nephew were  doing some work at our War Eagle Cabin, getting it ready for the summer season.

Tuesday I rode in by snowmobile to see how it was going. It was a beautiful day with white feathery clouds.
