Another beautiful day in the Whiteshell. "Wish you were here."
The cold snap at the first of the week will extend trails for a while.
We had a little bit of snow just before the Snowmobile Grooms went out the first of the week which allowed the guys to do a great job on the trails.
Parks grooms the ski trails toward the end of the week so that they will be top notch for the weekend.
Guests have been out on the snowshoe trails and the River and Amisk Hiking Trails, quite a lot throughout the winter so they are well packed.
A few openings for this weekend and next, for a last winter get-away!
A beautiful weekend!
We played a bit both Friday and Saturday.
Friday Stu and I headed over to War Eagle Lake by snowmobile.
Stu has a bunch of projects he wants to complete by spring for the guests this summer. He hauled in materials that he and our nephew will need for a project later this week. The trail in was just perfect.
Saturday Trinity joined Stu and I for a ride on the lake. Going we had clear skies but by the time we headed back to the resort the snow started to fall. We were all hopping for more snow to keep the trails going for a few more weeks.
Two perfect day!...... and thats why we love it in the Whiteshell!
Happy Valentines Day
What a wonderful weekend we are having.
Nice group of guests! Lots of sunshine and we don't have much wind.... so makes for a beautiful day.
on the walk to work
Someone new at the bird feeders- White-winged Crossbill
This picture shared by Hilda & Wilbert, who stayed with us last week.
The White-Winged and the Red Crossbills have been mistaken for the Pine Grosbeaks as they are very similar colouring but about one half the size.
Wishing you all a great weekend!
